In the marvelous Chiostri di San Barnaba, APS Showteam celebrates the union between centuries-old tradition and the visionary avant-garde of Italian haute couture. Milan, February 26, 2025 – The 2025 edition of GX Fashion Week Milano transformed the majestic Chiostri di San Barnaba into a sublime cathedral of avant-garde fashion, a crossroads where sartorial tradition engages in dialogue with bold innovation. Masterfully organized by the APS Showteam Association, under the visionary leadership of President Gentiana Dervishi, General Director of the entire hemisphere, the event proved to be an authentic stylistic success, redefining the very concept of elegance through a synthesis of aesthetic refinement, sustainability, and exceptional craftsmanship. The imposing Gothic vaults and centuries-old arches of the historic location enhanced the aura of an event that transcended the mere exhibition of sartorial creations, embodying a true metamorphosis in the language of fashion. "The Chiostri di San Barnaba act as a bridge between the past and the innovative horizon of new aesthetics," stated President Dervishi. "It is precisely this fusion between historical memory and experimentation that elevates GX Fashion Week Milano to a paradigmatic event."

An event with international professionals

The runway became the stage for a grand collective masterpiece, where craftsmanship excellence merged with innovative and sustainable materials, outlining a new vocabulary for contemporary luxury. The protagonists of this magnificent showcase included:

Adriana Agostini 

Adriana Agostini (Adriana Agostini brand), who brought not only her refined creations to the runway but an entire philosophy blending values, commitment, and authenticity. Honored with the prestigious Award Donna Impresa International as a Role Model, her artistry bridges tradition and innovation, rigor, and creativity. Each of her designs tells a story of passion and research, embodying her vision of fashion as a true mission.

Umberto Michele Perrera

Cavalier Umberto Michele Perrera (Sartoria Perrera brand), an iconic figure in the international sartorial scene, presented creations that encapsulate sixty years of dedication to haute couture. From his participation in the Sanremo Fashion Festival in 1968 to his invitation to join the Academy of Tailors in Rome in 1971, his journey is adorned with prestigious accolades. His "Treatise on Tailoring", a masterpiece that has become a global reference, showcases his ability to blend traditional techniques with innovation. A loyal supporter of GX Fashion Week, his creations represent the pinnacle of both men's and women's elegance. During the final greetings, the designer was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Alejandra Cortez & Ariana Onno

The MUBRI Association from Spain brought its mission of promoting goldsmith and gemological art through Alejandra Cortez (On your left) and Ariana Onno. Alejandra Cortez, founder of Joyas del Mar, enchanted with jewelry that transforms the essence of the ocean into works of extraordinary refinement. Her art, deeply connected to her childhood by the sea in Ensenada, has led her to the most prestigious international stages, from Paris Fashion Week to selection for the IX Contemporary Jewelry Exhibition 2025 at the National Museum of Decorative Arts in Madrid. Ariana Onno, through her Hõbe brand, celebrated minimalist elegance, transforming delicate shapes and precious materials into visual poetry, where light plays across finely crafted metals and stones, enhancing femininity with harmonious discretion.

Herbert Traumüller / Claudia Polic / Christa Franz 

Herbert Traumüller, with his brand sFinks A Graz, showcased folk art and 18th-century-inspired designs, incorporating ancient materials from museums and private collections in a vision of sustainability and refinement. Claudia Polic, founder of Claudier, presented her Fall/Winter 2025/26 collection, inspired by inner strength and harmony with nature. Christa Franz (Christa Franza brand) captivated the audience with elegant, bold, and timeless creations, earning her the Golden Award – Sustainable Fashion Craft at the European Textile & Craft Award in Bolzano.

Michaela Egger & Elisabeth Gotthardt

Michaela Egger, through her ZEITLOS brand, introduced designs enriched with sophisticated elements like lace and ribbons, not only aesthetically inspiring but also enhancing the confidence and personality of those who wear them.

Elisabeth Gotthardt (Atelier Elisabeth Gotthardt) presented exclusive and sustainable designs, particularly ball gowns, bridal dresses, and dirndls, reflecting an essence of refinement.

Nina Tsiklauri

Nina Tsiklauri, a Georgian designer with an "Italian soul," presented creations that elevate sartorial tradition into a sophisticated and exclusive aesthetic. Trained under Paolo Lentini, now a National Academy of Tailors member, she creates in her Unique Milano atelier, crafting masterpieces that perfectly blend tradition and innovation.

The WKO Styria & Topmodel TV Collective Austria, led by Dominik Wachta, participated in the Milanese event for the second time.

Margarita Kola

Margarita Kola, an Albanian designer with thirty years of experience, raised among scissors, needles, and thread in a family of tailors. After working for major designers in Greece, she established her own "Atelier Margot di Margherita Kola", specializing in bridal and evening gowns. Returning for her second experience at GX Fashion Week, she presented a collection inspired by the inner strength of women in all their facets.

GX Fashion Week Milano was not just a celebration of beauty—it stood as a true ideological manifesto, a privileged forum for dialogue among designers, buyers, media, and global stakeholders. "Clothing has now surpassed its purely aesthetic function, becoming a vehicle for deeper meanings," emphasized Dervishi. "GX Fashion Week Milano embodies the perfect synthesis of innovation and ethical awareness." The event reaffirmed Milan’s centrality as the epicenter of international creativity, a trendsetting hub, and a laboratory of connections between global fashion leaders. The presence of renowned personalities, journalists, and industry entrepreneurs immersed attendees in a multidimensional experience, where artisanal value merged with a pioneering vision of the fashion business's future. Thus, GX Fashion Week Milano went beyond a mere runway show, rising to a treatise of applied aesthetics, a bridge between past and future fashion, where the concept of luxury transcends mere exclusivity to embody an ideal of conscious and responsible elegance. The backstage was the beating heart of the event, where Hair & Make-Up Artist Coordinators Corrado Costanzo, Arta Kola, and Alex Radulescu masterfully led an extraordinary team, including Sonia Manfra, Ledi Dupi, Cosmina Spinu, Misha Ela, Liljana Grembi, Valentina Shala, Giada Costanzo, and Bruna Mandri. Every look was meticulously curated to enhance the essence of the runway creations, transforming each model into a living work of art—a perfect blend of creativity, precision, and excellence, leaving the audience breathless.

The event's success was ensured by the flawless direction of Alessia Xhafa, responsible for coordination. With extraordinary precision, she managed every backstage detail, ensuring the entire organizational machine ran seamlessly. Her leadership transformed the show into a unique experience, where creativity and organization merged into a masterpiece. The event was expertly hosted by Alessio MarrariAPS Showteam’s Communications Director, a renowned blogger, podcaster, and radio host, who masterfully commanded the language of fashion. Alongside him, the young Vesa Gioka, a student of the organization, gracefully balanced experience and freshness, creating a refined and dynamic narrative that exalted every moment of the fashion show.
