Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your journey before entering beauty pageants ?

I was born in Kosovo and grew up in Germany. Having both of these backgrounds gives me a unique view of the world, as I experience two different cultures. In both countries, people see me differently, which adds to who I am and helps me understand the world better. I work as a social worker with children who have been through difficult experiences. My job needs a lot of empathy, and it shows me how strong people can be. In my free time, I love being creative. I go to the gym regularly to stay both strong and healthy, but I also love music and art. I play guitar, sing, and enjoy drawing. These hobbies help me express myself and share my thoughts and feelings in different ways. My love for modeling started by chance. Photographers began reaching out to me for photoshoots, and during one session, someone asked if I had done this before because they felt I had “a lot to offer.” That made me curious, and since then, modeling has become a true passion for me.

What motivated you to participate in Miss Grand Kosovo and Miss Universe Kosovo ?

My motivation to participate in Miss Grand Kosovo and Miss Universe Kosovo came in March 2024. I had a strong feeling that my life was about to change that spring. It all started at a big Kosovar event in Munich, hosted by the famous presenter Labinot Gashi. During the event, the girls were called to the center of the stage, and the audience was asked to clap and vote for who had the best beauty and walk. The applause for me was the loudest, and in that moment, Labinot Gashi asked me in front of everyone if I would be interested in joining Miss Universe Albania & Kosova 2024. I was deeply moved and, at first, couldn’t believe it. But I accepted, and that led me to participate in Miss Universe Albania & Kosova. When the final came, I was incredibly honored to be named second runner-up and crowned Miss Grand Kosovo 2024.

How did you experience the Miss Grand Kosovo 2024 competition ?

The Miss Grand Kosovo 2024 competition was an exciting and emotional experience for me. From the start, I was nervous but also excited to be part of such a big event, especially since it was in Thailand. The whole journey, from rehearsals to the final show, helped me grow a lot and learn more about myself. I met so many amazing and inspiring women, and each one brought something special to the competition. The support and friendship between us made the experience even more memorable. We shared laughs, challenges, and encouraged each other, which brought us closer. Apart from the competition, we got to visit different cities in Thailand and explore the country. It was fun and helped me connect more with the culture and people. The competition itself was a great mix of hard work, dedication, and passion. There were times when I had to push myself out of my comfort zone to do my best, whether it was in front of an audience or during difficult tasks. Winning Miss Grand Kosovo 2024 was a proud moment for me, and it reminded me of the importance of staying strong and believing in myself.

What were the most memorable moments of this journey ?

I remember when we had the Grand Opening, and we presented ourselves on the red carpet. It was a moment I didn’t experience even in the finale. I was so emotionally touched as we walked down the red carpet, styled in the most beautiful dresses, and at the same time, I saw people standing in the rain outside their windows, cheering for us. Even though they were in the rain, they were so happy to see us, and that deeply moved me. I must honestly admit, after the opening, I cried out of joy. There’s even a video of that moment, where you can clearly see how moved I was. But it wasn’t just this moment that stood out. The camaraderie and mutual support among the contestants were also some of the most memorable experiences of this journey. Despite the intense competition, there was an atmosphere of respect and encouragement. It was incredible how we motivated and supported each other, especially in challenging moments. This team spirit and the positive energy among the contestants were truly inspiring for me.

As the 2nd runner-up of Miss Universe Kosovo 2024, how did it feel to reach this level ?

Being the 2nd runner-up of Miss Universe Kosovo 2024 was an amazing and humbling experience. Reaching this level was the result of hard work, determination, and believing in myself. At first, I couldn’t believe it – it felt like a dream. During this time, I had my first experiences with interviews, video shoots, big photoshoots, and more. These experiences helped me grow both personally and professionally and were an important part of my journey. Through all of this, I was able to prepare well to compete for Miss Grand Kosovo 2024.

How did you prepare for these competitions, both mentally and physically ?

The support from my family was very important. They were with me every step of the way and helped me stay mentally strong, which kept me focused. Mental preparation was just as important as physical training for me. I worked on building my confidence and emotional strength to stay positive and motivated. For my walk, I learned by watching YouTube videos and followed my progress step by step. When it came to the gym and nutrition, I spoke with many people to get the best advice and made it work for me. Physically, I stayed in shape by going to the gym regularly and eating a balanced diet.

What was the biggest challenge you faced during these pageants ?

The biggest challenge for me was staying true to myself. This became especially clear in Thailand when I suddenly had fans who admired me and gave me many gifts. It was a very overwhelming experience. There were also many moments when I had to step out of my comfort zone, whether it was performing in front of a large crowd, improving my walk, or handling the pressure and competition. I always say there’s no real competition because everyone has their own strengths and uniqueness, but the pressure of comparison was still noticeable and definitely affected me. The emotional ups and downs were also a big challenge. There were many highs, but they were often followed by moments of doubt or tiredness. I mean… wearing high heels, full makeup, fancy hairstyles, and long dresses every day is not that easy — even though it looks beautiful. On top of that, there were times when I felt alone, but I made friendships that still last today, and those are very special to me. In the end, it was all about personal growth — learning how to manage stress, always being in front of cameras, surrounded by fans, and at the same time, finding my inner strength and staying true to myself.

In your opinion, what makes a strong candidate in a beauty competition ?

A strong candidate is someone with personality and self-confidence. It’s important to know yourself well because this helps you show your uniqueness, which is also very important. When you love and accept yourself, you can share that authenticity with others and have a positive presence. Empathy is also key – it shows in how contestants support each other and interact with fans in a respectful and kind way. Another important quality is inner positivity. There are always challenges in a competition, and it’s important to face them with kindness, respect, and a positive attitude. A candidate with these qualities will be seen as not only strong but also inspiring.

Beauty pageants are often a platform for spreading a message. What is the cause you wish to promote ?

For me, it’s important to be a role model for young girls and women. I want to spread a message of self-love, confidence, and independence. We all have the power to follow our dreams, no matter how hard the path may seem. It’s important to believe in yourself and not let doubts or society’s expectations stop you. I also care deeply about mental health. In a world where many people struggle with mental challenges, it’s important to talk openly about these issues and raise awareness. Everyone deserves to love themselves and get the support they need to heal and grow.

What is your relationship with fashion, and how does it influence your daily style ?

Fashion is more than just clothes for me – it’s a way to express my personality, mood, and creativity. It should reflect elegance and femininity, while staying true to who I am. I’m inspired by icons like Monica Bellucci, Audrey Hepburn, Coco Chanel, and Marilyn Monroe, … who represent timeless beauty and confidence. Fashion should have class and stand out at the same time. I love adding bold earrings, shoes, and sunglasses to make my look special.

Do you have any future projects related to your title as Miss Grand Kosovo ?

As Miss Grand Kosovo, I have a few exciting projects planned. I want to be a role model for others, especially young girls and women, and show them they can achieve their dreams. I also see this title as a step into the modeling world and will use platforms like Instagram and TikTok to share positive messages. Through interviews, I’ll continue spreading inspiring ideas and remind people that together we can build a better and more peaceful world.

Do you have a beauty or wellness tip you’d like to share ?

My beauty tip is that true beauty comes from inner satisfaction and peace – that’s what gives you a natural glow. I also believe in less is more when it comes to Makeup and products; sometimes keeping it simple is best. Healthy eating and the vitamins in our food also play a big role in enhancing outer beauty. And don’t forget facial massages – they help relax and improve your skin’s appearance.

What's next for you after these experiences ?

I prefer to plan in small, realistic steps. Setting smaller goals keeps me motivated and excited to prepare for what’s ahead. I continue to work as a social worker with children, as it gives me a sense of fulfillment knowing that I’m making a positive impact and helping kids. Alongside this, I’m pursuing my career as a model and am excited to further develop myself in this field.

Do you plan to continue in the pageant world or explore other fields ?

I don’t think so – two international beauty pageants in one year was enough for me, haha. But I’ve always said, ‘Never say never,’ because we never really know what the future holds.

Is there a message you’d like to share with young women who dream of entering beauty pageants ?

My message to young women dreaming of beauty pageants is to first complete your education and gain maturity, because without that, it may not be good for your personal growth. Believe in yourself and never give up. It’s not just about looks, but about being confident and true to yourself. Work hard, embrace what makes you unique, and stay focused on your dreams. You can achieve anything if you believe in yourself.
